Here is the back cover for my Casca Novel:
Casca Rufio Longinus. Cursed by Christ on Golgotha. Condemned to outlive the ages, and wander the globe, a man who cannot die, does not age, and knows no skills but those of a constant battling soldier. Forever fighting, surviving, waiting for Him to return. Found in deepest despair in Thailand, Casca is confronted by Doctor Goldman with a mysterious private military contractor who hires the Eternal Mercenary to embark on the most dangerous mission he’s ever had - leading a small group of Black ops soldiers into Pakistan to recover stolen nuclear warheads from an ancient, mysterious cult of assassins. Tracking down a couple of Al Qaeda terrorists, Casca (alias Casey Romain) rages battles from the Middle East to the U. S., uncovering a plot as dark and enigmatic as Casca’s own past.

Good, I'm the first.
From the first page to the last, action adventure readers will be having one climactic orgasm after another. The worst part of the story was when it ended.
Mike has not only captured the style of Barry Saddlers writing, but in some cases exceeded it. There is no doubt in my mind that this book will be labeled one of the top 5 Casca books ever written. There has been only one person that could create a character so quickly with such memorization other than some of Barry's characters. In my opinion, if you sneeze even for one page, you've missed the story. One page after another of spellbound emancipation from reality is what this story holds for readers.
If you have picked up this book in search of an action adventure, you will not be let down. Fantastic job Mike.
High praise indeed!
Thank you so much, Vulture.
My true hope is that Sadler fans of old, as well as new, recognize the love of the series that I've had for over 25 years.
Believe me, this is just a warm-up.
The best is yet to come...
Mike I just purchased a copy of "Immortal Dragon". I hope I'm as thrilled with it as Vulture.
Thank you so much TGR!
I too await with bated breath of your honest account of it.
My fingers are crossed...
It took a while but I finally received my copy of Immortal Dragon. Must be all of the holiday mail. I'm in the process of finishing a Dennis Lehane book. But should be on Immortal Dragon by tomorrow. Can't wait to get started. Hope it captivates me. I might be a little slow with posting my comments, with the holidays and all. I hope I can give it a good review. Good Luck.
Here's me crossing my fingers...
Holiday mail? If you don't give up an extra 100 bucks, you won't get it till next holiday.
Immortal Dragon went on sale at Hastings today. So far, it's the only book store in the country where you can pick up a Casca book (25,26,27,28,29). It's the first time in a long time.
Mike,
I see that you have another 5 star review on Amazon books. Well done sir. I can only presume that as the sales increase, so will the reviews. Good, bad or indifferent, I'm sure your reviews will be well received by you. Many have not purchased this book through Amazon, but I am hoping that many have at least purchased something as small as a Pez despencer, and thus qualifying them to write a review for this story.
WOW!!! I just finished reading Immortal Dragon. This book has everything that has been missing in the series since Barry Sadler, PLUS. With all due respect to Tony Roberts, this book has all the action anyone could ever want in a Casca book. Very interesting angle. By setting this book in the present day, you did'nt have to bore me with a history lesson. Another nice angle with how you used of the brother hood. A great cast of Characters that did'nt get lost. Action! Action! Action! now that's what I'm talking about. You also have an excellent writing style that is unique from Tony and Barry. I love Barry's style and Tony for historical value but Wow you have done something here that has exceeded my expectations. The few flaws that I could find were to small to even mention (believe me if they were significant I would have listed them as I have with Tony's books). Because this book was set in the present day, all future books will have to be set during historical times. I am intersted to see how you fare writing a book with historical signifacance, I can't wait. Great job Mike you actually did breath New Life into to this series. And you actually did it without having to breath "old" life into it.
Thanks so much, TGR!
I hope to blow your mind with the next two coming out.
Please stay tuned.
Mike
I don't understand how someone can give 5 stars to 25-28, then give your book 1 star, having never reviewed just one of Barry's books.
Any way, I was sitting on the crapper today and noticed I had no tiolet paper. Looking over next to me was a copy of Mike Goodwin's 'Immortal Dragon' and decided this would have to do after all it was crap to start with and would finish by wiping my bum.
Who the hell wants a rehash of Rambo and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom amoung all the other movie plots that were used in this book? Could'nt this guy work on a plot line and be original? Evedently not. The book was filled with excess action that blotted out the point of why I was reading it to begin with and I gave up trying to decipher the main points.
I flipped to the end, read the predictable ending and it now sits in the city sewer page by page.
Well, 'Jerk off O'Latern,' Like I said in the other blog post, the Native Americans have a name for the likes of you: "Inky Asshole" for your Native American nae would be more fitting.
Can't wait until you post again.
Finally gettin to send some Kudos to the MAN!!!
ID just frickin ROCKED!!! Left Tony's work in the dust!!!!
Keep doin what you are doin MIKE!!!!
Read your book 'Immortal Dragon' and found it to be pretty good. Going to leave a good review on Amazon. Have you written anything else besides the Casca book? And when is the 'Outlaw' due out as I would like to read it. You got the stuff to write the series that is for sure. Only 'refound' Casca after about 20 some odd years and thought once Sadler died that was it for the series but recently found out that it has been resurrected. Read one by Mr. Roberts but you got him beat hands down in my opinion for a first novel and looking for more.
Thanks so much for the kind words about my hard work, Anders.
I am so glad you liked the resurgence of the Casca franchise.
Tony and I are working hard to breathe new life into the series.
I hope you not only leave a kind review on Amazon, but also continue to give us writers and the publisher feedback on what you fans like and/or dislike about any given novel.
Your words do count!
As to my Casca: The Outlaw - I hope it will be out this year. That's all I can say right now.
Please stay tuned!
You're plagiarized other stories, you're a fraud.
